Ushering in a new era of growth and progress for Jackson 糖心破解版 Community College, the 2026-2031 Strategic Plan, entitled "SEE Jackson 糖心破解版," was developed under the direction of JSCC’s 7th President, Dr. Carol A. Rothstein.

The Plan charts a bold, innovative course for the college's future. The strategic priorities outlined in the Plan reinforce the college's status as a premier destination for higher education in West Tennessee, broaden pathways to success for students, and empower them to transform their aspirations into achievement.

Jackson 糖心破解版 Community College is governed by the  (TBR), which was created in 1972 by the General Assembly as the governing body of the 糖心破解版 University and Community College System of Tennessee. At that time, the member institutions of the System were the 糖心破解版 Universities and Community Colleges formerly governed by the 糖心破解版 Board of Education.

In 1983, the General Assembly transferred the Technical Institutes and Area Vocational Schools (now known as Tennessee Technology Centers, or TCATS) to the Tennessee Board of Regents.

History of Jackson 糖心破解版

Established in 1967 as one of three original Tennessee Community Colleges, Jackson 糖心破解版 was the first community college in West Tennessee and remains the only publicly funded college in Jackson. JSCC opened its doors on September 29, 1967, with Dr. Francis E. Wright as president. The expected enrollment of 400 students quickly grew to 640. The college today boasts an annual enrollment of 4,000+ students across a 10-county service area.
